Orthodontic Assistant Role Overview

Position Summary:

The Orthodontic Assistant at Dr. Wax Orthodontics plays a vital role in delivering top-notch support to our orthodontic team while ensuring outstanding care for our patients. This position requires close collaboration with both the orthodontic staff and patients, maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong rapport with patients, providing exemplary customer service
  • Inform patients about orthodontic care procedures and practices
  • Assist in chairside patient management, including the placement and removal of orthodontic devices
  • Conduct tasks such as taking X-rays, capturing images, and fabricating retainers
  • Maintain precise patient documentation and notes for the orthodontist
  • Ensure patient treatment areas are organized, sanitized, and equipped with necessary tools
  • Follow instructions from orthodontists to further develop skills
  • Perform additional duties as required

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of pertinent experience
