About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care and medication distribution as permitted by law.
  • Support and model behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct, and service expectations.
  • Answer the telephone and assist customers seeking pharmaceutical care.
  • Perform a variety of data entry and report generating tasks.
  • Assist with medication inventory management and controlled substance perpetual inventory.
  • Facilitate the delivery of all pharmaceuticals to meet the needs of the customer/patient.
  • Maintain the pharmacy in a neat and organized condition.
  • Process complete prescription claims, including adjudication, reconciliation, insurance verification, prior authorization, and compassionate care/medication assistance programs.
  • Enter medication charges and credits for the adjudication/reconciliation of patient accounts and insurance claims billing.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities utilizing performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.
  • Provide education and training to new pharmacy staff, students, and residents as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Montana State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Successful completion of all required training and department/position specific competencies.
  • Successful maintenance of continuing education per board of pharmacy requirements.
  • Not on the OIG exclusion list.
