About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Professional to join our team at Mental Health Partnerships. This is a per diem role located in Allegheny County, with the possibility of occasional travel to community-based establishments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for adults in mental health settings, utilizing experiential learning techniques and adapting to individual learner needs.
  • Analyze learning styles and preferences, tailoring approaches to optimize engagement and understanding.
  • Collaborate with co-facilitators to prepare and present high-quality training content.
  • Promote Mental Health Partnerships' services through public speaking engagements, conferences, and other events.
  • Provide education and support on topics like peer support and recovery principles to stakeholders.
  • Recruit constituents to participate in our training programs and contribute to their development.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives by assessing training effectiveness, providing feedback, and updating content as needed.
  • Evaluate participant learning during training delivery and take action to enhance collective competence.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience working in psychiatric rehabilitation, behavioral health, or human services settings, including internships and volunteer work.
  3. Substantial experience as a classroom trainer, organizational facilitator, or instructional designer, including relevant internships and volunteer work.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in developing and facilitating adult learning programs.
  5. Familiarity with virtual training environments and ability to adapt training methods accordingly.
  6. Comprehensive understanding of Pennsylvania's Behavioral Health system, with experience in other states an asset.
  7. Proficiency in computer skills, including desktop computing, email management, time sheet tracking, electronic health records, internet research, and software applications relevant to the position.
  8. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and virtual meeting platforms like Google Meet and Zoom.
  9. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, along with attention to detail, customer service, cultural competence, time management, autonomy, problem-solving, and organization abilities.
  10. Ability to modify communication style to suit diverse individuals and build strong working relationships.
  11. Fluency in Spanish is desirable, while certification as a Certified Peer Specialist and WRAP Facilitator in Pennsylvania are valued assets.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, based on location and experience. Mental Health Partnerships offers competitive benefits, including opportunities for professional growth and development, flexible scheduling, and a dynamic work environment.
