Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized plans of care that promote patient independence and well-being.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will be responsible for assisting physical therapists in conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing exercises and interventions designed to improve patient function and mobility.
Responsibilities- Assist physical therapists in conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Implement exercise programs and provide instruction on proper techniques to patients, caregivers, and family members.
- Document patient progress and communicate regularly with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and address any concerns or issues.
- A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Maryland.
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in home health care or a related setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- CPR certification and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to patient homes.
- A competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
