Project Overview
The City Light & Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Development Specialist to join their team of engineering professionals at the corporate location in Greenwood Village, CO.

CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with over twenty years of experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance, and operations through their sister company, City Light & Power. The company offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.

Job Summary
The Senior Project Development Specialist will assist in coordinating construction projects from initial planning to scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting through project close-out. This role acts as a coordinator and liaison to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with compiling and distributing reports on all project phases and financial performance.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project.
  • Travel to the project site as needed to monitor project activities.
  • Attend project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress, and final close-out.
  • Work closely with the project management team to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials.
  • Monitor progress, tracking timelines and construction activities according to schedule.
  • Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems.
  • Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction.

Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. Previous related work experience may substitute two-four (2-4) years of experience with industrial/commercial building construction, materials, systems, field work, or similar is required. Previous experience with federal government contracting or federal construction activities is a plus. Detail-oriented individuals with strong documentation and reporting skills are preferred. Organized problem-solvers with the ability to multitask are essential. Proficiency with MS Office and other Microsoft Office products is necessary. Excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills are also required.

Salary & Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $75,000-$90,000 per year based on experience, plus eligible to participate in a Short-Term Incentive Plan.
