We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Specialist to join one of our clients' teams and provide exceptional care to patients in Gillette, WY.

Role Overview

As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with cancer. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive care to patients throughout their cancer journey to provide the best possible outcomes for patients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Patient Care and Diagnosis:
    • Perform thorough examinations and diagnostic tests to determine the presence and stage of cancer.
    • Interpret diagnostic tests such as biopsies, imaging studies (MRI, CT scans, X-rays), and blood tests.
    • Discuss diagnosis and treatment options with patients and their families, providing clear and compassionate communication.
  2. Treatment Planning and Management:
    • Develop individualized treatment plans, which may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, or a combination of treatments.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of treatments and adjust plans as necessary.
    • Manage symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatment.
  3. Collaborative Care:
    • Work in a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
    • Participate in tumor board meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
  4. Patient Support and Education:
    • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
    • Educate patients about their disease, treatment options, and what to expect during treatment and recovery.
  5. Research and Continuing Education:
    • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in oncology.
    • Participate in clinical trials and research projects aimed at improving cancer treatment and patient outcomes.
    • Attend professional conferences and continuing education courses to maintain board certification and licensure.
  6. Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
    • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and students.

What We Offer

  • A highly competitive base salary: $ $240,000 per year, plus additional incentive opportunities.
  • A sign-on bonus of $100,000.
  • A relocation bonus of $30,000.

  • A 401(k) retirement plan with an 8% company match.
  • 6 weeks of paid time off, 6 paid holidays, and 7 days of sick leave.
