Here's the details:

• Full-time days, Monday - Friday
• Weekends (rare), weekly on-call shift

New Grads &/or Current students in the final months of their surgical technologist program are welcome to apply.

**Job Summary:**

Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Handles and cares for all surgical instrumentation in accordance with departmental and manufacturer's recommended guidelines.

**Responsibilities:**

- Ensure aseptic technique is followed during all sterile procedures.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

**Requirements:**

- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Completion of a surgical technologist program, with certification preferred OR a minimum of 3 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
- Lives within 30 minutes travel time of the hospital.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to take emergency call 3pm to 7am weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends on rotating schedule.
- Current CPR certification.
- Basic Computer knowledge.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
- Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write.
- Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone.
- Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately observe, monitor, and administer care.
- Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: finger stick blood sugars, vital signs, and handle instruments).
