Job Title: Lead Finish Carpenter

Clear Construction Inc is seeking an experienced Lead Finish Carpenter to oversee and execute high-quality finishing work on high-end residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of finish carpenters to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and on schedule.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope and requirements of each project.
  • Measure, cut, and install various types of trim, molding, baseboards, and other decorative woodwork.
  • Prepare and finish surfaces for painting or staining, including sanding, filling, and smoothing.
  • Install cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in furniture according to specifications.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials to ensure they are readily available for use.
  • Coordinate with other trades, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and preferences, and ensure work is completed to their satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance and training to other carpenters to ensure they can perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Completion of a relevant finish carpentry training program or lead experience with at least four years of carpentry experience.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Able to use common hand tools and power tools.
  • PPE and carpentry trade tools.
  • Troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces.
