We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for a travel job in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and hold BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.

As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.

The tasks involved in this position include:

  • Confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining imaging procedures to patients
  • Correctly interpreting doctors' written instructions
  • Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
  • Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
  • Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
  • Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
  • Following safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Understanding and using the McKesson PACS system

Requirements for this position include:

  • 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
  • BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop easily
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
