About the Job

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant to join their team for a travel assignment in Hermitage, Tennessee.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, providing direct care to patients, and working collaboratively with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures
  • Position patients to give best exposure for surgical procedure, using stabilizing equipment when necessary, while maximizing patient comfort and safety
  • Utilize appropriate technique to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis
  • Assist with body plane closure, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
