At Norman Regional Health System, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Oklahoma Wound Care Center team in a PRN capacity. As an LPN at our state-of-the-art wound care center, you will play a vital role in the assessment and treatment of various wound types, including diabetic ulcers and surgical wounds.

Overview

The Oklahoma Wound Care Center is the largest outpatient wound center in the Oklahoma City area, serving a diverse range of patients with complex wounds. Our team collaborates closely with specialized physicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act
  • Contribute to the development of a plan of care and follow through with such plan for selected patients
  • Administer medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy
  • Document nursing care and activities
  • Assist with patient care and monitor patients during procedures
  • Maintain the exam/treatment rooms and work environment
  • Assist with the training of other staff
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • Current Oklahoma State LPN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation
