Job Summary

As a Fabricator - Non-Certified at GKN Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and fabrication of aircraft components and parts. Under close supervision, you will be responsible for operating machines, hand and power tools, gages, and measuring instruments to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate patterns to determine the most effective method for material removal.
  • Prepare parts for tank processing by painting, patching, and applying maskant.
  • Drill, assemble, and rivet segments and rings, and perform deburring and forming operations.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to company standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a business culture that supports the company's objectives and goals.
  • Ensure a safe workplace and protect the environment through the establishment and support of company policy.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, or 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and work with hazardous materials.
  • Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and technical issues.
