Job Title: Environmental Geologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Geologist to join our team in Houston, Texas.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team of civil and environmental professionals to ensure the designed projects are implemented flawlessly.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and oversee field activities, including environmental data evaluation and field services assistance.
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors performing monitoring well installation activities and environmental sampling and/or construction-related activities.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data, prepare reports, and ensure quality execution of tasks assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with Kleinfelder staff, subcontractors, and clients.
Requirements:
  • 3-6 years of related experience in environmental geology or a related field.
  • Soil and/or ground water sample collection experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong knowledge of TCEQ regulations and guidance documents.
  • Experience with preparing TCEQ reports, including Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports.
  • Experience with various contaminants, including chlorinated compounds, petroleum compounds, PCBs, PFAS compounds, and metals.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • 10 hr OSHA Construction certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.

This position may require work on projects requiring full vaccination from COVID-19. If that is the case, you will be required to show proof of vaccination or an acceptable exemption in order to work on the project.
