**Job Summary**

We're seeking a Product Development Director - Power Systems to lead our product development teams in refining product requirements and turning them into product specifications that drive cross-functional team development. This role will focus on our clients' Static Transfer Switch (STS) and Power Distribution (PDU) products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, experience with product development and testing, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop and refine product requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including offering management, system engineering, mechanical engineering, product engineering, firmware engineering, agency compliance, and product integrity teams.

* Lead the development teams through the NPD process cycle at a technical level, ensuring the product meets market requirements.

* Provide technical support and leadership to product development teams, escalating major issues to the appropriate resources and pursuing them to closure.

* Work with cross-functional teams to create development plans and strategies, bringing products from ideation to concept and market launch.

* Manage development progress versus plan, track resource needs, and ensure the team stays on schedule.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.

* 3+ years of experience in product development and testing, or cost improvement programs.

* Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to summarize technical data/results quickly for non-technical audiences.

* Experience leading teams to show task breakdown, prioritization, and management across a group of people.

* Scrum master certification or PMP preferred, but not required.

* Experience with 3-phase power and conversion/conditioning products preferred, but not required.

* Familiarity with large (>100kW) 480V 3-phase power lab testing preferred, but not required.
