We are seeking a Veterinarian Clinical Expert in Small Animal Internal Medicine to join our team at Washington State University.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated veterinarian to provide clinical service and clinical instruction to professional veterinary students, interns, residents, and graduate students. The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced clinicians and educators to deliver exceptional patient care and teach the next generation of veterinarians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical service for the VTH, emphasizing expertise in Small Animal Internal Medicine
  • Teach and mentor professional veterinary students, interns, residents, and graduate students
  • Collaborate with colleagues on research and scholarship projects
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to advance the field of veterinary medicine

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD) degree or foreign equivalent
  • Diplomate status or board-eligibility in Small Animal Internal Medicine by the time of hire
  • Experience in practicing all aspects of internal medicine, including abdominal ultrasound

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest and expertise in performing abdominal ultrasound
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work collegially and collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds
