Job Summary

Mercy Center Inc. is seeking a highly skilled ESOL Educator to join our team. As an ESOL Educator, you will be responsible for instructing English language learners in speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, as well as integrating technology into the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customized lesson plans for low-literacy populations based on a standards-based curriculum.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students on areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Department staff to maintain high student retention and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Participate in regular staff development sessions and meetings.

Requirements:

  • BA degree and at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • CELTA certification strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment:

The ESOL Educator will work in a standard office/online/classroom environment with minimal physical demands.
