Job Summary

The Materials Handler will be responsible for performing all assembly and related finishing to customer specifications, preparation of the paint-line, and assisting with the movement of material within the premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assembly and related finishing of cabinets, based on production demand.
  • Utilization of pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment to move material to/from trucks or trailers and within the premises.
  • Providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
  • Work under direct supervision and support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
  • Powder coating experience is a plus.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule

First shift, with voluntary overtime opportunity on Fridays when applicable or when mandated.

Shift Schedule:

Monday - 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Tuesday - 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Wednesday - 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Thursday - 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Friday - As needed (voluntary OT)

Physical Requirements

The ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively throughout the course of a shift.

The ability to bend, stand, twist, and stoop for prolonged periods of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.

Subject to environmental conditions that occur within a fabrication shop condition including exposure to dirt, dust, noise, and vibration from use of equipment and the following:

Hazards:

Exposure to a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

Atmospheric conditions:

Exposure to one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin, including fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

Oils:

Exposure to air and/or skin oils and other cutting fluids.

Requirements

Simple problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to operate forklifts and cranes, preferred.

Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banders.

Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints, preferred.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

Knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers, preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
