Job DescriptionAs an Electronics Engineering Associate at LTD Global, you will work under the guidance of engineers and closely collaborate with the DOE project Electrical Subsystem Groups. Your responsibilities may encompass electronic design, documentation, procurement, fabrication/installation guidance, and testing of DOE project electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply technical expertise to provide multifunctional electronic design and coordination for experimental apparatus, equipment, systems, or facilities.
- Collaborate in specifying electrical infrastructure, including AC loads, delivery materials, and control cabling, conforming to National Electric Code standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for accelerator and beamline electrical and electronics systems, adhering to industry standards.
- Coordinate and specify hardware for Department of Energy project related jobs, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices.
- Contribute to cost and schedule management for electronic projects, utilizing approved project management tools.
- Provide technical input and apply standard principles in developing new methods and concepts.
- Resolves technical problems of moderately complex scope, providing expertise and guidance to technical personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree in a functional specialty closely aligned with the relevant program, along with extensive related professional technical experience.
- Solid foundation in CAD design techniques, design rules, and specifications, with experience in AutoCAD or OrCAD.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with scientists and engineers.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Project, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
- Knowledge of electrical safety principles and practices, as well as working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
