Optometric Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team at Dr. Nez and Associates Inc. As an essential part of our front office team, you will provide exceptional patient care and assist the optometrist in pretesting patients.

• Provide professional and friendly customer service to patients
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform patient check-in and check-out processes
• Enter patient data, maintain patient demographics, and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Explain processes to prepare patients for pretesting, perform vision pre-screenings, and take legible notes during examinations
• Provide exceptional patient care and communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and fellow teammates

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service and optometry office experience preferred
• Ability to work at different locations and lift up to 20 lbs.

• Experience using optical pretesting equipment
• Evidence of strong working relationship with doctors
• Experience in customer service and bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)
