Job Summary

The Greater Peoria Family YMCA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to lead our efforts in facility and property management. This is an exciting opportunity for a servant leader to join our cause-driven team and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall coordination of facility maintenance and housekeeping, including planning and developing preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure the proper operation of all mechanical systems and complete repair work and projects in a timely manner.
  • Oversee all contractors that work in the facility and grounds, request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.
  • Work with outside agencies to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.
  • Develop budgets supporting the preventative and annual maintenance plans and monitor expenditures against budget.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct assigned staff and volunteers in the areas of maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Advises management on maintenance issues and ensures that assigned vehicles (and other equipment) are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA.
  • Updates facility plans periodically and may develop annual plans of capital projects, consistent with the YMCA's strategic plan and community needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in facility management or a related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in facility management or a closely related field.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance-related areas.
  • Skills in supervision, budget management, and project management.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
  • Certified Pool Operator license and boiler certifications required within 120 days of employment.
  • Ability and current license to drive with a record that meets YMCA standards.
  • Familiarity with personal computers helpful.
