About the Role:

\ComponentThe Residential Treatment MA will work in a dynamic and supportive environment to deliver exceptional patient care. This 1st shift position operates from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, providing opportunities for collaboration with our experienced healthcare team.\Component

Key Responsibilities:

\ComponentAs a Medical Assistant in this role, you will be responsible for assisting with direct patient care procedures and related tasks. You will obtain vital signs, height, and weight for clients on the inpatient unit under the direction of LPN/RN. Additionally, you will perform UDS/HCG testing while adhering to CLIA standards. Your duties may also include maintaining accurate inventory of medicines and medical supplies. Under the supervision of a medical provider, you will administer self-administered client medication or perform medication administration according to specific clinical program protocols.

Scheduling and Communication:

\ComponentYou will schedule and monitor medication clinic appointments with medical providers, in conjunction with site business staff. Furthermore, you will authorize drug refills as ordered by the medical provider and communicate with pharmacies via phone or fax. Also, you will arrange outside medical appointments for clients as directed by the medical provider. Maintaining current and accurate documentation is a critical aspect of this role.

Requirements:

\ComponentTo be successful in this position, you should possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a licensed healthcare facility is required, with at least one year of experience in this field.
