Oncology Department Lead

Are you a seasoned Oncology nurse looking for a new challenge? Look no further than Texas Health Resources We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced Oncology Department. This PRN (as needed) position offers flexibility and autonomy, with rotating shifts and weekend requirements. About the Role:
We require an Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or equivalent experience. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. You must hold current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire. Additionally, we require BLS certification, ACLS within 90 days, CPI training within 90 days, and one year of experience as a clinical nurse. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of inpatient oncology RN experience, charge/preceptor skills, CMSRN, ONS - Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate, and OCN - Oncology Certified Nurse within 2 years.
Responsibilities:
You will oversee the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, and lead a team of nurses in delivering exceptional results. You will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. You will maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients, possess a strong work ethic, and display a high level of professionalism. Basic computer skills using Medical management application systems are required, as well as effective communication and collaboration with all members of the healthcare team. You will also support and actively participate in shared governance/councils, committed to developing your individual knowledge and skills, and advancing the profession of nursing through lifelong learning/development.
Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience and location.
