Electroneurodiagnostic Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electroneurodiagnostic Technician to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for preparing patients for and conducting various neurodiagnostic procedures, including Electroencephalograms, Evoked Potentials, and Transcranial Doppler exams.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for and conduct various neurodiagnostic procedures
- Collect patient information pertinent to the interpretation of tests and determine proper procedures for testing
- Perform standard EEGs, including wake and sleep, nasopharyngeal, bedside, isolation, pediatric, neonatal, electrocerebral inactivity evaluations, etc.
- Compile data on patient's neurologic status and clinical history
- Perform non-invasive neurovascular studies, including Transcranial Doppler examinations
- Attach standard and current inducing electrodes and record evoked potentials (computer averaged electrical responses) to visual, auditory, and somatosensory stimuli within the nervous system
- Perform hearing screening on infants to assess hearing
- Provide supportive patient care and make detailed observations of clinical manifestations during seizures and other patient emergency situations
Qualifications:
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- Associate's degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent
- American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification
- Eligible for certification by ABRET
