Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to join our team at HealthEdge. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and adjusting our technical platforms to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement infrastructure platform strategies to support business growth and objectives
  • Lead the transformation of data-driven decisions through metric collection and analysis to partner with cross-functional teams
  • Build and implement necessary solutions to manage and innovate service reliability
  • Perform regular review of service offerings to develop business processes and automate workflows
  • Responsible for documentation and configuration scripting for automated deployment
  • Responsible for disaster recovery testing and scenario planning
  • Oversee the diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving of hardware, software, or other network and system problems
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
  • Manage the diagnosing of causes of failures and performs corrective or preventive actions to avoid subsequent failures
  • Manage performance to identify areas of opportunity for efficiency and growth with modern technologies
  • Establish and deliver reporting for services regarding performance, health, and capacity to the business
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 8-12 years of related work experience
  • Proven experience in a leadership role
  • Experience with security, monitoring, and performance response
  • Experience with disaster recovery and high availability support
  • Ability to direct others and lead work
  • Ability to be on-call may be requested to work after hours
  • Understanding of monitoring and auditing tools
  • Presentation skills for status of projects and state for regular leadership updates
