Operator - Plant Equipment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Plant Equipment Specialist to join our team at Eco Material Technologies Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, performing site work, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plant operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding safety regulations. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for operating complex machinery, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain plant equipment, including loading and unloading materials, monitoring inventory levels, and conducting routine inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of zero-injury safety within the workplace.
- Maintain effective communication with utility teams and ensure seamless coordination of tasks.
- Monitor and record fly ash levels in silos, place orders as needed, and perform required tests.
- Load trucks, rail cars, or barges with fly ash directly from the silo and unload them into silos.
- Weigh trucks and rail cars, record information, and create tickets for billing purposes.
- Operate all loading equipment, including water trucks, dump trucks, vacuum trucks, and forklifts.
- Assist in disposal operations and perform maintenance on grounds, equipment, and facilities as directed.
- Responsible for all paperwork and reports as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in a relevant skill or trade.
- 1-2 years' experience in a relevant field, preferably in plant operations or a related industry.
The ideal candidate should be able to:
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.
- Prolong standing or sitting in stationary positions.
- Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Complete repetitive movements.
- Bend and/or twist.
- Ascend/descend stairs or ladders.
- Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.
- Move or traverse about the facilities.
- Work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection).
