We are seeking an experienced Annual Giving Development Specialist to join our team at Spelman College. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $65,000-$80,000 per year.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in annual giving and fundraising, with experience in managing volunteer committees, creating marketing materials, and coordinating direct mail appeals. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase annual giving revenue, working closely with the Director of Annual Giving and other members of the advancement team.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external constituents. They will also have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual giving strategies to increase revenue and engage constituents
  • Manage volunteer committees, including recruitment, training, and coordination
  • Create marketing materials, including email campaigns, social media posts, and direct mail appeals
  • Coordinate direct mail appeals, including content development and vendor management
  • Work closely with the Director of Annual Giving and other members of the advancement team to achieve strategic goals
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in annual giving and fundraising. They must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
