We are seeking a skilled Epic Systems Senior IT Analyst to join our team at Penn State Health. As a key member of our Information Services Applications department, you will play a crucial role in the development, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of our Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

With your expertise in analyzing, designing, building, testing, and maintaining complex EMR systems, you will work closely with clinical, operational, financial services, and administrative staff to optimize the use of our Epic system and ensure it meets the needs of our healthcare organization.

About the Role
  • Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Location: Hershey, PA, USA

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and design complex EMR systems to meet the needs of our healthcare organization
  2. Develop and implement solutions to optimize the use of our Epic system
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of our EMR system
  4. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption and utilization of our EMR system
  5. Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Four-Six years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of EMR systems, preferably in an Epic environment
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing/supporting information systems utilized in Pre-Op, Intra-Op, and Post Op settings, including associated Anesthesia workflows
  • Epic certification preferred, but not required
