Clinical Unit Patient Care Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech Clinical Transition Unit to join our team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, Texas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing delegated basic patient care services.
- Obtaining and recording initial and ongoing patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
- Assisting with mobility by turning and positioning patients, dangling, ambulating, and transferring them to and from wheelchairs or beds.
- Collecting specimens for diagnostic or waived tests and ensuring accuracy of all labels and timely transfer of specimen.
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as eating, drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in basic cardiac life support and be able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

The estimated salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
