Job Summary

This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work as a Network Infrastructure Specialist with Insight Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and terminating various types of cables, including Cat6 and CATV.

The ideal candidate should have experience in running new cabling in new or existing buildings, terminations, faceplates, and labeling of new cables in the field. Additionally, they should be able to dress and label patch panels, build out comms rooms, and test and troubleshoot cable issues.

We are seeking someone with strong technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and experience working with fiber and fiber terminations. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are also required.

About the Role

As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' networks. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining the physical infrastructure of our clients' networks, including cabling and termination.

You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and termination of various types of cables, including Cat6 and CATV.

  • Running new cabling in new or existing buildings, terminations, faceplates, and labeling of new cables in the field.

  • Dressing and labeling patch panels, building out comms rooms, and testing and troubleshooting cable issues.

  • Reading blueprints and creating detailed diagrams of network layouts.

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills, including experience working with fiber and fiber terminations.

  • Ability to read blueprints and create detailed diagrams of network layouts.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
