Compassionate Caregiver Opportunity
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual seeking a rewarding career in elderly care? We are actively seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or caregiver to provide safe and compassionate care to our clients in the Mandeville, LA area. Our organization is committed to ensuring our elderly clients receive the care and support they deserve, whether in their homes or facilities.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a CNA or caregiver with our organization, your primary responsibility is to assist clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This includes tasks such as turning and ambulating patients, delivering food and beverages throughout the day, and helping with personal hygiene, such as bathing and providing bedpans. You'll also provide adjunct patient care as needed, which may involve delivering ice packs, dressings, or baths for therapeutic purposes.
Requirements and Skills
To thrive in this role, you should possess a High School diploma or GED, and if applicable, a State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. Current CPR Certification is essential, along with basic computer skills. Independence and the ability to think on your feet while maintaining clear and efficient communication are crucial. Your excellent oral communication skills when interacting with fellow healthcare professionals in the presence of patients will be invaluable.
Compensation and Benefits
We value your dedication and expertise, and we offer competitive compensation to reflect that. CNAs can expect to earn between $13-14/hour for private clients and $16-19/hour for CNA facility work. Our non-certified caregivers can earn between $12-13/hour when working with private clients. For those who work a minimum of 35 hours per week and complete 90 days of employment, health insurance benefits become available.
