Nurse Traveler Bone Marrow Transplant Opportunity

In this exciting travel nursing opportunity, you will have the chance to work as a Bone Marrow Transplant RN in Newnan, Georgia.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in Bone Marrow Transplant or Inpatient Oncology, with a strong focus on administration of bone marrow, graft rejection, graft-versus-host disease, stem cell therapies, chemotherapy administration, body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, management/disposal cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, oral administration of chemotherapy, recognizing/communicating abnormal lab values, accessing ports, administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, blood/blood product administration, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, infusion pump management, intravenous hydration/multivitamins, PICC line care, starting IVs, antiemetic, antitumor, antibiotic, corticosteroids, Neupogen, hormonal therapy, acute tumor lysis syndrome (ATLS), anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, patient/family education and support, alteration in skin and mucous membranes, altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, nausea/vomiting, neuropathy.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current RN license or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- BLS certification (AHA only, no Heart Code)
- ACLS certification (AHA only)
Prior experience in BMT/Stem Cell/Cellular Therapy is highly valued, as well as CHEMO cert (OCN preferred). Infusion Center, Outpatient Oncology, Active Immunotherapy Specific/Non-Specific, Administration of Interferons, Administration of Interleukins, Recognize/manage side effects, Care of Patients with various types of cancer, IV push narcotic agents, Medication tolerance/dependence assessment, PCA pump management, Transdermal patches, Chest tube care and management, Colostomy care and management, Foley catheter insertion/management, Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Phlebotomy skills, Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring, Tracheostomy care/management, Wound care, Advanced directives, Hospice care, Withholding/withdrawing treatment, Post surgical care.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $2,700 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. A tax-free stipend amount will also be provided, subject to confirmation.
