As a Pediatric Behavior Specialist at Gateway Pediatric Therapy, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and maintaining instructional areas throughout sessions
  • Preparing and keeping binders, stimuli, and materials organized
  • Dressing professionally and arriving on time for work
  • Completing tasks assigned for session completion
  • Receiving supervision through direct observation
  • Attending team meetings and trainings
  • Communicating effectively with coworkers and parents
  • Responding to internal communications within 24 hours
  • Practicing universal precautions to prevent disease transmission

You will be responsible for delivering instruction based on procedures learned from initial and ongoing training sessions and feedback from supervisory staff. Additionally, you will collect, record, and analyze data accurately following our procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate expressively and receptively both verbally and in writing. You should also be able to sit in a child-sized chair or on the floor, switch quickly between standing and sitting, and walk, jog, or run in the event of client elopement. This position requires physical activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, visual acuity, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $17.00 per hour, based on national averages for similar positions in the Lansing, MI area. Please note that salaries may vary depending on factors such as experience and qualifications.
