About the Role

The Maintenance Shop Clerk is an integral part of the maintenance team at Republic Services, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining fleet records, processing parts, and ensuring the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fleet inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units.
- Process transactions, including receiving, tagging, stocking, and dispensing parts to mechanics according to company and regional policies and local operating procedures.
- Prepare truck purchase orders for management approval, including assignment of general ledger codes, and utilize ePro to process transactions.
- Review purchase orders with accounting to ensure accuracy and proper payment of invoices.
- Produce various productivity and usage reports for management review.

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training.
- Related experience in a maintenance/trucking industry.
