We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens position near Auburn, NY. This opportunity provides the chance to deliver essential outpatient care for both hematology and oncology patients in a supportive environment.

The role primarily focuses on hematology, with oncology making up about 15% of the patient population. This assignment offers a great work-life balance with day shifts and minimal inpatient call responsibilities.

The locum provider will manage adult patients, focusing on both hematology and oncology care, with a small number of daily infusion patients.

Position Details:

  • Assignment Duration: ASAP - Ongoing

  • Patient Demographic: Adult patients
  • Setting: Outpatient clinic and some inpatient consults

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care, including ordering tests and prescribing treatment plans.
  • Manage an average of 13-15 clinic visits per day and 5-7 infusion patients daily.
  • Handle 0-2 hospital consults per day, when necessary, with minimal call responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled clinical team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

  • Travel Reimbursement: Includes flight, hotel, mileage at IRS rate, and rental car if applicable

Estimated Salary Range: $250-$300 per hour, based on location and experience.
