Role Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor Overnight is responsible for supervising a maintenance shift that supports plant operations. This role requires strong people management, operational knowledge, and training ability. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervision, and the ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a maintenance crew and ensure parts requisitioning is done properly
  • Create work orders and PMs, assist with the installation of new equipment, and troubleshoot problems with equipment
  • Ensure a safe work environment for employees and enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner
  • Recognize and take steps to resolve operating problems, cooperate with all departments, and keep accurate and up-to-date records
  • Encourage suggestions from employees to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs
  • Schedule crew overtime and participate in organizational teams and committees

Requirements

Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics preferred or a related field and two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal relations skills, the ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems, and knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, boilers, refrigeration, preventative maintenance, and plant operations.

Additional Information

The Maintenance Supervisor Overnight will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance at all times and performing other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
