Tesla's Software Platforms team is responsible for designing and developing the foundation of our in-vehicle user experience. Our software platform, built on Linux, provides a secure, capable, and high-performance environment for our innovative Infotainment hardware.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code using C/C++ programming languages.
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional system, ensuring seamless collaboration with other teams.
  • Analyze and develop software tools, processes, and metrics to optimize our development workflow.
  • Utilize existing hardware components in innovative ways to solve complex problems and improve overall performance.
  • Become proficient in board bringup and hardware design validation, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
  • Implement incremental software deployments to meet our fast-paced development schedule.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive tests and continuous integration for all code changes.
  • Support factory provisioning, testing, and improvements to ensure seamless production.
  • Evaluate and document new product feasibility, exploring opportunities for innovation.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in software/firmware development for production environments.
  • Expertise in Embedded Linux and/or Android development for production environments.
  • Strong understanding of Linux system fundamentals, including kernel development and device drivers.
  • Excellent coding skills in C/C++, with a focus on performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in build, debug, and test processes using industry-standard tools.
  • Experience with hardware debug tools (DMM, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and software debug tools (GDB, KGDB, JTAG).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with board/chip bringup is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $144,000 - $304,000, plus cash and stock awards, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
