Loader Operator

We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our team at Plumstead Quarry, a dynamic and growth-oriented division of The H&K Group, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment during the second shift.

• Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Know and follow company start and stop procedures
• Conduct daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens
• Maintain walkways clear of debris and report spillage issues to the superintendent
• Perform daily guarding inspections and plant checks, reporting any maintenance issues to the superintendent
• Inspect screen media to ensure proper condition for maximum production
• Maintain the operating booth clean and free from inappropriate materials
• Carry out duties and work procedures to meet production schedules
• Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency in quarry operations and work crew
• Assist workers in solving production problems when needed/required

• High school diploma or equivalent (or one month of related experience and/or training)
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Able and willing to work a second shift schedule
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, etc.)

• Three months+ related experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment (strong preference for loader operation experience)
• Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
• MSHA or other relevant safety certification

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration
• Frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles, moving parts, and noise

$55,000-$65,000 per year (estimated), based on location and industry standards. Note: Salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
