Within the Apple Store Online team (ASO), we oversee Apple's most significant retail platform.

Our primary objective is to provide a magical, personalized digital shopping experience where customers can explore, purchase, and learn about everything Apple, regardless of their location.

Every customer should feel like they are our sole focus, and our mission is to set the standard for the service they receive.

To manage such an exceptional platform, we require exceptional talent, and we are in search of a Senior Solutions Architect to assist us in achieving remarkable outcomes.

The ASO Platform Product management team is tasked with the infrastructure and tools that enhance our e-commerce platform.

The Senior Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in the leadership team, steering the roadmaps and development of systems that will empower us to deliver innovative experiences.

Responsibilities: In this capacity, you will be accountable for defining and advancing the technical architecture and roadmap for the Apple Online Store.

Collaborating with key cross-functional partners, including Product, Program, Product Marketing, Merchandising, Digital Content Management, Engineering, Operations, and others, you will help us modernize our architecture.

Your role involves challenging outdated assumptions and providing the flexibility and agility that our business teams require to progress into the future — all while ensuring our existing multi-billion dollar operations run seamlessly.

Your expertise in constructing complex, scalable systems will guide our architectural decisions and encourage exploration of new technologies.

Beyond strategic planning and roadmaps, you will engage in the specifics and help drive projects to implement enhancements to our tools and processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in Technical Project Management, Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, and/or Engineering Management
  • Experience with third-party marketplace or partnership integrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in Technical Project Management, Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, and/or Engineering Management
  • Self-motivated, highly adaptable with exceptional organizational skills, capable of thriving in high-pressure environments
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams in a multilingual/cultural context
  • Strong analytical abilities, comfort in ambiguous settings, and capability to leverage data and metrics to support conclusions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a focus on storytelling and the ability to craft narratives that influence team members
  • Proficient in resource management and conflict resolution, consistently prioritizing what matters and navigating through uncertainty
  • Deep understanding and experience in designing and building complex, large-scale, multi-tenant systems; expertise in scalability design
  • Experience working with business partners on large operational initiatives from conception to execution
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver extensive multi-year projects
  • Demonstrated capacity to assess business requirements and prioritize effectively
  • Contributes to an inclusive environment by respecting diverse perspectives and showing curiosity to learn
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This provides opportunities for advancement as you grow and develop within your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $165,500 and $293,800, with your base salary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
