Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery of quality care to patients and families under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The successful candidate will participate in RN/CNA hand-off communications, collect and report patient data, demonstrate safety protocols, and provide timely notification and escalation of data or clinical conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate genuine care for patients by active listening, responding promptly, and providing individualized care with cultural sensitivity.
  • Participate in daily RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles to ensure seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to identify their needs, provide emotional support, and ensure timely response to their concerns.
  • Provide physical support to assist patients with daily living activities, preserving their dignity and independence.
  • Collect and record vital signs, document observations, and report any changes in patient condition to nurses.
Credentials and Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN Degree is mandatory.
