Job Title: Vice President of People and Culture

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to oversee our Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving long-term strategy and daily operational excellence.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function and Human Resources team development. This includes overseeing employee relations, organizational development, compliance, recruitment, retention, benefits, worker's compensation, seasonal game day staffing, and internship programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute organizational development strategies complete with professional development and training required by federal/state laws and Major League Baseball (MLB).
  • Manage and lead company retention efforts including morale and employee recognition.
  • Advise employee and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals, strategize, plan, and direct the activities of the HR department.
  • Lead negotiations with non-player unions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least seven years related experience in Human Resources leadership roles required.
  • Master's degree and/or professional certification preferred.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local employment related laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA).
  • Understanding of, and experience with, most or all the core aspects of Human Resource Management including recruiting/staffing, employee relations, performance management, leadership development/training, and worker's compensation.
