Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Professional to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Hospitalist APP, you will play a critical role in the comprehensive management of hospitalist patients, providing exceptional care and coordination of services to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage comprehensive and individualized care for hospitalist patients and their families in the inpatient phase of hospitalization and for immediate post-discharge in the ambulatory setting.
Complete daily rounds, consults, and pre-procedure/evaluations, and order additional tests or consults as deemed appropriate.
Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests following established clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
Facilitate patient discharge by coordinating appropriate services and tests prior to discharge necessary for outpatient follow-up appointments in the clinic.

Requirements

Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing.
National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
BLS Certification; NRP Certification; ACLS Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

ACNPs preferred, but will consider FNPs.
Masters level education as Medical/Surgical (as applicable) Physician Assistant preferred.
