Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Global Supply Chain/Manufacturing team in Cherokee, AL. The successful candidate will be responsible for reducing unscheduled maintenance, increasing up-time, and lowering maintenance costs by being a shared resource for the entire mill when their technical expertise or other capabilities are needed to solve a problem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain large paper-making equipment, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Program PLC's and troubleshoot wiring, I/O devices, relays, AC & DC drives
  • Serve as a shared resource for controls, instrumentation, and inspection technologies
  • Lead instrumentation and controls troubleshooting efforts within their area of expertise during asset outages
Requirements
  • Three plus (3+) years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing Electrical/Instrumentation troubleshooting tasks
  • Work in a paper-making or converting facility is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with hazards and procedures involving medium voltage equipment and/or sub stations
  • Ability to work with others to resolve complex problems and make data-based recommendations

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
