Job Summary:

We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in Microbiology and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and perform laboratory tests and procedures, including maintaining equipment and records.
  • Prepare and test specimens for examination and report results.
  • Follow established quality control procedures, including recording data.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and methodologies.
  • Maintain sufficient supplies at work station.
  • Ensure and maintain quality control and assurance activities.
  • Use Infection Control practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Science, or related field, required.
  • Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience and/or training specific to the work being done in the area noted above, required.
