Job Overview
At Performance Foodservice, we're committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our customers. As a CDL driver, you'll play a critical role in helping us achieve this goal by safely and efficiently transporting food and essentials to our customers.

About the Role
This position involves driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver and/or unload food and related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all products are delivered in good condition and that our customers receive the best possible service.

Salary and Benefits

Key Responsibilities
* Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally
* Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
* Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
* Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
* Load and secure freight properly
* Deliver products to customers in a safe and timely manner

Requirements
* 12+ months commercial driving experience
* High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent
* Valid CDL A
* Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
* Must be 21 years of age
* Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
* Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
* Pass road test
* Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
