We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Crawford Memorial Hospital. As a Cardiopulmonary Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
About the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans, conduct respiratory assessments, and operate respiratory care equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough respiratory assessments of patients, including initial screenings and ongoing evaluations.
- Determine requirements for treatment, such as type, method, and duration of therapy, and medication dosages.
- Formulate teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes.
- Administer medications as required, demonstrating knowledge of respiratory medications, outcomes, and side effects.
- Perform tests to evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary functions, adjust equipment as needed, and maintain departmental records.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current professional license/certification as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Experience in respiratory therapy, preferably with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to navigate EMR programs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
We offer a competitive salary of $$62,500 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
