About the Position

ColumbiaCare Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICM Therapist to join our team. As an ICM Therapist, you will provide diverse clinical approaches through a strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed lens. Your services will include therapy, case management, and skills training in various community settings to support adults who experience severe and persistent mental illness.

You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary field-based team to identify client needs, determine appropriate level(s) of support, and connect to community resources to resolve the identified needs. Your comprehensive psychosocial mental health assessments will direct client-driven treatment, identify appropriate DSM diagnosis, and develop treatment plans with the goal of hospital diversion, increasing client self-sufficiency, and/or finding most appropriate and least restrictive placement.

This position requires participation in a weekly on-call rotation and the ability to develop quick therapeutic rapport with clients and maintain clear and consistent therapeutic boundaries.

About the Program

ColumbiaCare provides Intensive Case Management (ICM) Services, which are high-quality, evidence-based, and flexible services: a community-based package of care that includes assessment, strengths-based treatment planning, and recovery-oriented case management that helps identify the individual's service needs and establishes and maintains community support systems and service coordination.

ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. QMHP employees are also eligible to apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program.

What You'll Need

  • Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) registration. Eligibility requires:
    • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Unlicensed Therapists MUST be actively seeking or willing to obtain licensure.
  • Experience performing mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans and working with SPMI population is preferred.

If not already registered as a QMHP through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO), we will assist you in registering within 30 days of hire.

Successful applicants MUST have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers. It may require the ability to occasionally walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable; as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
