Contract Negotiation Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association-accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. State Bar.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide expert analysis and support for commercial agreements with domestic suppliers, structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with standard terms to achieve optimal results.
- Assist in developing formal policies, processes, and procedures related to contract management, such as agreement templates and playbooks.
- Help apply supplier risk management guidelines and governance associated with purchasing products and services.
- Maintain signed supplier contracts and related approvals using our contract management system, creating regular reports on key metrics.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments, legislation, and regulations impacting supplier agreement activities, conducting industry research on related matters.
- Identify potential issues and provide guidance on regulatory and compliance considerations affecting supplier agreements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association-accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. State Bar.
- 2-4 years total legal experience, including significant relevant experience as legal counsel leading contract negotiations for a large corporation or law firm.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex legal issues efficiently.
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proven business acumen, including anticipating and analyzing the impact and consequences of decisions and recommendations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling interaction with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and leading contract management systems (Ironclad preferred).
Salary Range: $163,800 - $266,400 per year
This salary range is based on a yearly estimate, taking into account local and state wage requirements. The actual starting wage may be higher depending on the location.
