Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Pacific Standard Time (PST). You do not need to reside in PST time zone but must be willing to work these hours. Licensure: Must already be licensed in Washington state. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges if you are already licensed in Washington state. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facility-based admissions for mental health and substance abuse through the continuum of care
  • Effectively collaborate with treating providers and facilities to ensure consumers are receiving treatment in line with best practice and level of care guidelines
  • Effectively communicate with consumers about their benefit coverage and provide appropriate resources and referrals
  • Make decision about appropriate levels of care based on medical necessity guidelines

Required Qualifications:
  • Independently Licensed Clinician, with a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D or a Registered Nurse with 2+ years of experience in behavioral / mental health. License must be current and unrestricted in Washington state
  • 2+ years of behavioral health experience
  • Facility based mental health / substance abuse experience
  • Experience with Outlook/One Note email, use of online calendars and other proprietary software applications
  • Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows 10)
  • Proven computer/typing proficiency to enter/retrieve data in electronic clinical records and provide customer service on the phone concurrently
  • Private work space and access to high speed internet
  • Ability to work 8:00am - 5:00pm PST
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Inpatient experience
  • Experience in a managed care setting
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
  • Proven ability to work effectively within in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
