Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Sentara Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through the performance and interpretation of diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in helping us deliver exceptional healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including general X-rays, GI fluoroscopic studies, abdominal and pelvic CT/CTA scans, abdominal and pelvic MRI/MRA scans, and dedicated studies such as Prostate MRI.

• Interpret imaging studies in a timely fashion and communicate findings to referring physicians accordingly.

• Work closely with other physicians and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients, participating in multidisciplinary meetings such as tumor boards.

• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:

• American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification required.

• DEA registration required.

• Tumor board certification highly preferred.

• Authorized User (AU) highly preferred.
