About the Role

The Department of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Welfare Fraud Prevention Coordinator in our Research and Automation Data Division.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in data analytics to detect, prevent, and investigate welfare fraud and trafficking. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and address large-scale and organized fraud schemes that pose a significant risk to state and federal programs.
  • Collaborate with Special Investigative Units and local enforcers to drive prevention and data discovery efforts.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and trends related to welfare fraud and develop strategies to prevent and investigate such activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with counties and law enforcement agencies to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, business, or public administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in data analysis or investigation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid leave and retirement plans.
